Welcome to Lister Hill

We are a friendly, Bible-based Baptist Church. We believe God's love, shown in Jesus, is for everyone. As a family of all ages you are welcome to join us. We want to worship God, enjoy being with each other as members of his family, and serve him in Horsforth and beyond. When we meet together we believe God wants to speak to us, and through us and we encourage people to explore the gifts of the Holy Spirit in their lives, which are to be used for the encouragement and building up of God's people in the context of the local church.

We gather to worship on Sundays at 10.30am. Our service includes communion on the 4th Sunday of each month, using gluten free bread and a non-alcoholic communion wine. When we meet, we worship God through songs and through prayer, and we learn more about God and His will for our lives through teaching.

Sunday Services

Our Sunday morning service starts at 10:30am every Sunday.You are very welcome to join us either in person, or online HERE (or click on the countdown at the bottom of this page).To watch our service after it has streamed, or to watch previous services, CLICK HERE LIGHT is aimed specifically at young people and is full of fun and teaching about Jesus. This takes place most weeks during our main Sunday morning service.

Alpha

We’re excited to be running the Alpha Course at Lister Hill it started on the 15th February 2026. Alpha is a relaxed, friendly set of meetings over 10 or so weeks, where anyone can explore life’s big questions and the Christian faith in an open, informal way. Each meeting includes time to eat together, a short talk, and the chance to share thoughts or simply listen—no pressure, no judgement. Whether you’re curious about faith, returning to church, or just enjoy good conversation, you’ll be very welcome. Everyone is invited. Rainbows Cafe

Our Rainbows Cafe is open on Tuesdays during term time, between 9:30 and 11:30 am. See Upcoming events below for dates.

We provide a free, relaxed and friendly environment, with drinks and cake, and an area with toys for little ones to play. Its a place to chat, relax & meet new friends
